49th San Francisco Comedy Competition

Perhaps America's foremost comedy event, the annual San Francisco Bay Area Comedy Competition provides not only hilarious entertainment but also an early glimpse at future major stars. Alumni include Dana Carvey, Louis CK, Ellen DeGeneres, Sinbad and Robin Williams.

The 49th San Francisco Comedy Competition makes a special late-night stop in San Francisco at The Function - they city's newest full-time comedy club, with 16 new comics competing to advance to the Semifinals. Only five advance; the rest walk home. Round Two features comics from around the world making their first appearance in the United States.

The Function offers you an intimate comedy club experience one of the best nights of the San Francisco Comedy Competition because you can see a wide range of comics emerging from around North America in one venue.

About the San Francisco Comedy Competition

The San Francisco Comedy Competition is one of the most prestigious comedy events in North America, launching the careers of people like Patton Oswalt, Robin Williams and Ellen DeGeneres. It’s an outrageously funny evening, where you will see the comedy stars of tomorrow competing for their chance at fame and fortune. Hundreds of comedians audition each year to compete, but only 32 are chosen.
